About a week ago, O & I attended Judah Flo’s 7th Anniversary Fashion Show, and let me tell ya, it was AWESOME! I am incredibly grateful that the brand’s owner Jose Flores invited me to cover the show. I have been to a number of fashion shows, but I have never been to one where the energy was so fulfilling! It was a full-house. The show was held at Studio One in Orlando and hosted by Telemundo’s Andrea Marcial. There were great vendors, hor d’oeuvres, a live painting performance, singing, dancing, and of course, great fashion.
If you’ve never heard of Judah Flo, it’s definitely a brand you want to get to know. Here’s some background info:
“Judah Flo Made For Royalty is a scripture-based brand. The Lion of the tribe of Judah represents Jesus inspired by scripture in Revelation 5:5. The sword represents the word of God and “Flo” is the first part of my last name, Flores. God makes us Royalty and he calls us to be at a higher level. Despite the different seasons of life we may have been through; the hurt, the pain, the losses, setbacks, and failures we can’t forget the victories and blessings. It all has led us into the divine will of God for our lives. I wanted the line to be built on faith and high quality designs, each one with its own individual message. My mission is to keep creating high-end premium designs reaching lives with a positive message and expanding the brand into different products and partnerships.
Dream Big all things are possible.”
I absolutely love when fashion and faith meet. A few months ago, I was attending a workshop during Christian Fashion Week in Tampa, and one of the ladies made a great point. The Bible states that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, so why can’t Christians be über fashionable and look our best?
The participating designers definitely gave life to the meaning of “über fashionable.” First up was Gordy Atelier who showed their Iconic Divas Swimsuit Collection 2014. This collection gave me a major old Hollywood flashback. Next was Nailuj Villarroel whose designs were so sophisticated. Last but not least, Judah Flo’s designs stole the show. The messages on the the tops are priceless. Take a look at the video and the photos of each individual look!
